Migrate folders & files
and metadata
Migrates folders and documents along with metadata to another SharePoint library
based on the folders/documents added by the user using XPlica user interface. |
Migrate documents using a
batch descriptor file
Migrates folders and documents along with metadata to another SharePoint library
based on the entries in the batch descriptor file. |
Update document metadata using
external metadata reference file
Associates new document property values, including document name, custom column
values etc., using the new values specified in the metadata reference file for
each document version, while migrating them to a SharePoint library. This
feature is extremely useful for metadata cleansing before migrating the
documents to the new location. |
Retain document metadata
XPlica propagates the original Created Date, Last Modified Date, Created By
(Author) and Modified By (Editor) and assigns it to the respective system
columns in the new SharePoint library (Note: XPlica Web Services component must
be installed in the SharePoint Server to propagate these fields correctly). This
feature is extremely useful if you like to store the original document property
values in the respective SharePoint columns. |
Migrate document versions
XPlica migrates all versions or user specified document versions along with its
corresponding metadata to the destination SharePoint library. |
Tasks Manager
XPlica creates migration tasks and maintains task history in a task oriented
interface. Create a scheduled task or store the task settings and manually run
the task on-demand. Keep track of all migration tasks performed using XPlica.
Task Manager internally uses the familiar Windows Task Scheduler to run
migration tasks at different time intervals - daily, monthly, weekly etc. |
Automate Tasks
Run migration tasks from the command line (DOS prompt) or automate to run in a
scheduled manner using the Windows Task Scheduler interface. |
